- Active ingredient: Tadalafil
- Type: Selective inhibitor of specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5)
- Form: Oral (pills)
Description:
Tadalafil is an analogue of sildenafil with a much longer duration of action, lasting up to 36 hours compared to sildenafil's 4-5 hours. Initially used to treat erectile dysfunction in men, it is now also prescribed for daily use to provide athletes, both men and women, with a continuous effect of improved blood circulation. While the drug has high specificity for the pelvic organs, its effects extend throughout the body as it was originally developed for cardiovascular problems.
Mechanism of action:
Tadalafil promotes vasodilation by blocking the enzyme called PDE-5 (phosphodiesterase-5), which breaks down nitric oxide in the blood flow. This inhibition leads to an increase in nitric oxide concentration, resulting in the expansion of blood vessels in the muscles and pelvis.
Purpose of use:
Tadalafil offers numerous benefits that make it valuable and effective for bodybuilding. It slightly lowers blood pressure, has a positive effect on the heart, enhances blood flow to the muscles, and causes minimal side effects. It also provides an unprecedented pump effect, mechanically stretching the vessels of the muscles and fascia, indirectly contributing to the growth of the targeted muscles being trained. It is important to note that Tadalafil does not cause a permanent erection without sexual arousal or stimulation.
Effects:
- Improved sexual performance
- Enhanced blood circulation throughout the body
- Reduced inflammation and C-reactive protein levels
- Decreased aromatization
- Lowered blood pressure
- Improved function of the vascular endothelium
- Increased testosterone levels
Side effects:
- Headache
- Flushing
- Upset stomach
- Abnormal vision, such as changes in color vision
